Request for original fish lesion photos

Colleagues,
I have a veterinary student extern working for me for a few weeks who is developing materials for promoting aquatic veterinarians to the general public – for use in possible AVMA blogs, web information, JAVMA News stories, and maybe a brochure that can be displayed in clinics and elsewhere.

If you are willing to provide us with original high quality/resolution photographs showing obvious gross lesions, or common finfish maladies (e.g. big ulcers, tumors, swollen bellies, protruding scales, necrotic gills, damaged fins, parasites, etc.), we would deeply appreciate it.  Because these will be published under AVMA¡¯s name we will need written consent to use these.  If used the source will be credited/acknowledged.  They will also go into AVMA ¡®image library¡¯ for later use elsewhere.

If you can help, please send the photos, and the completed consent form (attached), directly to
dscarfe@avma.org.

Thanks for your help in promoting aquatic veterinary medicine.

Best regards,

Dave
